Cromer Street 1930's

Why not contribute to history and dig out those old pictures of streets that you perhaps once played in or places that you once visited on a family outing in Camden; a visit to the fair on Hampstead Heath perhaps.

The Local Studies and Archives Centre holds over 50,000 images of Camden past and present. Although this may sound a lot, we have several gaps in our picture collection. We hold many photographs of the area for the early years of the 20th Century but we have very little representing the 1920s, 1930s, 1940s and 1950s.

The Centre’s collection, including illustrations, are made available to all those wishing to research the history of Camden and illustrations are an important source of information. For future generations of researchers, an old photo may unlock a door to the past.

Local family share their photographs

The Ing family, who had a fishmonger and poultry business at 99 Albany Street and at 52a Bolsover Street for many years, have kindly given us copies of their family photographs.

Copies of these and many other images in our collection can be purchased from us.
