Learn about recycling
We have a dedicated schools coordinator who visits schools and provides fun, curriculum-linked class activities as well as practical advice and support to set-up recycling initiatives to help reduce the amount of rubbish schools produce.
We provide:
Assemblies and individual class visits
The talks explain why we need to recycle and encourage everyone to fully participate in the school recycling service.
'Waste Education in Action’ pack
Provides lesson plans, links, activities and information connected with key stages 1 and 2 of learning to integrate recycling into the curriculum. The pack is available in both printed and electronic copy and also includes a free recycling DVD or video for your school.
Free recycling bins
We offer a free weekly collection of paper and card and can/plastic recycling wheelie bins free of charge to all schools in Camden. We can also offer free green boxes for classrooms to make it easier to collect your paper and card in before taking it to the recycling bins.
