The international station at St Pancras will include a new Thameslink station under Midland Road. It will be built as part of the CTRL works as the new location runs under the new St Pancras platforms.
St Pancras International will include a new Thameslink station under Midland Road. This station will open on the morning of Sunday 9 December This will replace the existing King’s Cross Thameslink Station, which will close on Saturday 8 December.
The new station will have wider platforms and create a much-improved interchange with St Pancras and Kings Cross main line stations, and better links to the Circle and Metropolitan Tube lines.
North of St Pancras, new tracks have been tunnelled across the railway lands to make the connection to the tracks going northwards from London although this link will only open with the Thameslink enhanced project.
The new station at St Pancras will form part of the much wider Thameslink 2000 network, connecting with nearly 150 stations in the South East. Thameslink 2000 is a Network Rail project. For more information on the this project please visit www.networkrail.co.uk
