Well and Warm service

Camden’s Well and Warm service provides free home energy advice visits to help make your home warmer, more comfortable and reduce energy bills. The visit includes tailor made energy efficiency advice and free installation of small energy saving measures such as:

  • draught proofing (doors, windows and other openings i.e. letterboxes)
  • radiator panels
  • TV stand by savers
  • low energy light bulbs
  • hot water tank jackets
  • emergency warmth packs
  • water-saving measures such as shower/tap aerators and cistern devices

In addition, an in-home WISH+ assessment is offered to help connect you to a wide range of health and wellbeing services. This includes the handyperson service and private sector energy efficiency grants should they be required.

Do you qualify?

Well and Warm visits are available to Camden residents, whether council tenant, home-owner, private tenant or housing association, who reach the following criteria:

Are in receipt of benefits (not including child benefit) and one of the following:

  • aged 60 or over, or
  • have a long-term illness, or
  • have a disability, or
  • have a child under five (or are pregnant), or
  • have a child under 16 with a disability or suffering a long-term illness, or
  • have a child under 16 and in receipt of child tax credit
