24 hour telephone-based community alarm service for older, disabled and otherwise frail or vulnerable people (for example, people living with HIV/AIDS, racial harassment, domestic violence etc). Two levels of service are available: Careline Silver Service (monitoring only) and Careline Gold Service (emergency call-out). Charges payable monthly by direct debit. Other services are also available including Telecare automatic sensor equipment and the provision of Carers' Emergency Cards. All tenants receiving Housing Benefit are funded by the Supporting People Programme.
