The scheme loans Personal Mobility Vehicles (PMV) and manual wheelchairs to people with limited mobility. This is a membership based scheme and applicants need to complete a simple training session before they can use a PMV. The vehicles are collected from the shop and in the case of PMVs, these must be returned before the shop closes. There are disabled parking bays on Pratt Street.

This scheme allows Camden residents with a permanent disability affecting their mobility free travel within the Greater London area, on the following services: London Transport buses, including low floor mobility buses and Stationlink, London Underground, Docklands Light Railway, National Railways services and the Croydon Tramlink. Holders of the pass can travel at any time on London buses, London Underground and tram services. However time restrictions still apply on National Rail Services where the pass is valid only after 9.30am on all weekdays and all weekends and public holidays.

Details:
Fraudulent use of parking permits and disabled parking badges (blue and green badges) can be reported using the online form or to the Parking Call Centre. It is a criminal offence for able bodied people to use a blue or green badge, and if they do so they are liable for a fine of up to £1,000. Lost or stolen badges should be reported to the police immediately, and a loss/theft form (available in the parking and resources section of the website) should be completed to obtain a replacement badge. This is a membership based scheme, but the service is free and provides door-to-door transport to destinations anywhere within the London Borough of Camden. Offers the loan of Personal Mobility Vehicles (PMVs) and Powerchairs for 1 to 4 days. The vehicles are delivered to the client's home and collected at the end of the loan period. Training is provided and minor home adaptations are carried out in order to enable members to store the vehicles in their home. There are three sections to this service. The Passenger Services section provides passenger transport services in particular to the Council's Children, Schools and Families and Housing and Adult Social Care Directorates (mostly for people with disabilities). The Fleet Management section supplies vehicles to all Council Departments, and operates and maintains the Council's fleet of vehicles. Some of these vehicles are available for hire to charitable bodies and other local authorities during the evenings and weekends. The Business Services section deals with the finances and general administration including Congestion Charging for the service.
