Telephone enquiry service for Environment Services which include rubbish collection and street cleansing, door step recycling services including green garden waste, commercial waste collection, graffiti removal, gritting streets in icy conditions, free snow shovels for community groups, recycling and energy management, abandoned vehicles, fly-tipping, dead animals in the street, clinical waste (i.e. needles, syringes, injecting equipment etc), requests to collect cars for free disposal. Can organise house clearances (Council tenants approach their local District Housing Office), free collection of cookers, fridges from domestic premises only. Furniture in good condition that is suitable for reuse is eligible for free doorstep collection (booking necessary).
