Access To Art
Seeley Drive
Makes it possible for disabled and frail older people to visit major art galleries and museums in central London. The 'Meet You There' service provides a volunteer gallery assistant who gives help at the gallery including handling a wheelchair. The door-to-door service is for people who are unable to get to the gallery themselves. People are collected from their homes in an accessible minibus and taken to exhibitions, where a volunteer assists them. Educational visits with lecturers are also provided. Volunteers must have an interest in art and be physically fit.
