Making your application using the Nationality Checking Service in Camden
The Nationality Checking Service (NCS) is a partnership between the Home Office UK Border Agency (UKBA) and local authorities across the UK.
This is not a fast track service but completed applications that are checked for accuracy by the NCS are generally dealt with quicker and without further enquiries.
You must make an appointment to use the Nationality Checking Service.. To arrange an appointment please contact the ceremonies and citizenship team
Using the NCS does not guarantee that the Home Office will approve an application as the UKBA deals with each application on its own merit.
We will check citizenship applications for completeness and accuracy before sending them to the UKBA. We will also photocopy and certify valuable documents such as your passport, before returning them to you. You must pay for this service. More information on the nationality checking service fees.
Applications are then sent to UKBA by Royal Mail Special Delivery. We are registered with the Office of Immigration Services Commissioner to check nationality applications.
