Camden Council is recruiting an Apprentice Project Support Officer

Camden Council’s Economic Development team is offering an exciting opportunity to 16 to 24 year old Camden resident or former Camden Secondary School student or Camden care leaver (who are eligible to work in the UK) to become an Apprentice Project Support Officer.

The Economic Development Team works to encourage economic growth within Camden and improve access to jobs and training for Camden residents. The apprenticeship will be for a fixed term period of 18 months. During this time you will have the opportunity to gain practical experience working for Camden Council whilst pursuing a Business Administration Apprenticeship qualification at Level 3.

•    Duration: 18 months
•    Salary: £234 per week, rising to £259 per week after 6 months and £286 per week after 12 months (You will be paid monthly)
•    Based at: 5 Pancras Square, Kings Cross
•    Apprenticeship: Business Administration Level 3
•    Closing date: Midnight – Tuesday 12th May 2015

Rayner Essex LLP is recruiting an ATT (Tax) Apprentice

Rayner Essex LLP has an exciting opportunity for a 16-24 year old Camden resident or former Camden Secondary School student to join our firm as an ATT Apprentice to work within our Tax department, London office. The ATT Apprenticeship is suitable for those wishing to start a career in Taxation.

  • Salary: National Minimum Wage appropriate to age. Currently this is £227.50 per week for 21 to 24 year olds, £179.55 per week for 18 to 20 year olds, £110.95 per week for under 18 year olds.
  • Hours: 9:00am – 5:00pm Monday to Friday (35 hours per week)
  • Contract length: 24 months
  • Holiday: 25 days holiday, plus all English Public & Bank holidays

Criteria:

The ideal candidate will be interested in a career in tax, be computer literature and have good knowledge of MS Office, particularly Word and Excel. They will have good written and verbal communication skills.

  • You must have obtained at least a B grade in GCSE English and Maths, at least 2 ‘A’ levels grade A to C or be AAT qualified to apply for this role.  Suitable equivalents are accepted.

Apprentice and complete an Intermediate NVQ in Exercise and Fitness.

•    Salary: £150 per week

                  Tuesday:        9.00am – 5.00pm   (2 hour break)

This is an exciting opportunity to become involved in the delivery of the different fitness sessions and physical activity. You will work with colleagues to help plan and deliver personal exercise plans, fitness sessions, fitness assessment, consultations and introductions session etc. The role will involve some administration, such as answering the telephone, e-mails, and filing etc.

Camden Council’s Parking and Lettings team is offering an exciting opportunity to a 16 to 24 year old Camden resident or Camden school leaver (who is eligible to work in the UK) to become an Advanced Business Administration Apprentice in the Parking and Lettings team.

•    Salary: £234 per week, rising to £259 per week after 6 months, and £286 per week after 12 months
•    Hours: 36 hours per week (Monday – Friday)
•    Based: 5 Pancras Square (Kings Cross)
•    Contract length: 18 months
•    Qualification you will study towards achieving: Advanced NVQ in Business Administration

Camden’s parking and lettings team are responsible for outdoor parking spaces, partly covered parking spaces, covered parking space and garages etc.

The Apprentice will be responsible for the management of a patch of parking spaces, garages and sheds including lettings, dealing with repossessions, appeals for refunds and routine enquiries from clients and officers relating to all non-residential letting and parking control enforcement.

You will gain practical experience working for Camden Council whilst pursuing a Business Administration Apprenticeship qualification at Level 3.

Criteria:

- You must be aged 16 -24 years old, Camden resident, Camden care leaver or Camden school leaver
- You must have a real desire to work and learn and complete the apprenticeship qualification
- You must have been resident in the UK / EU for over 3 years
- You must not have a degree or level 4 qualification or higher

Hampstead Heath is recruiting a 16-24 year old Camden resident or Camden care leaver to become an Apprentice Conservation Arborist.

  • Hours: 7.30am – 3.30pm inclusive of one hour unpaid lunch break 
  • Location: Hampstead Heath
  • Apprenticeship: NPTC Level 2 Diploma in Trees & Timber (Arboriculture)

This is a unique open space for the recreation and enjoyment of the public. The apprentice will focus on aspects of arboriculture, veteran trees and habitat management.
