Camden Council is recruiting TWO Asset Management Apprentices

We have an exciting opportunity for you to train, earn and learn. Camden Council’s Housing Repairs and Improvements team is offering a 12 month opportunity to TWO 16 to 24 year old Camden resident or former Camden Secondary School student to become Asset Management Apprentices. You will assist with the administration of the Council’s ‘Better Homes Programme’.

The Details
Salary: £176 per week, rising to £193 per week after 6 months (paid monthly)
Based: Camden Town
Contract length: 12 months
Qualification you will study towards achieving: Business Administration – intermediate level
Hours:  36 hours per week (Monday – Friday)

Key Dates

Selection Day: Thursday 13th August at 2pm
Employer interview: pm on Tuesday 18th August 2015
Start date: early September 2015 (subject to satisfactory references)

Apprentice duties will include:
Learning to create and update a register to record all repair and improvement work that the council has completed or still needs to do.
Learning to run reports using data about repair and improvement work to help colleagues with future decisions about how and when to carry out remaining work.
Providing a reception service to the building and ensuring deliveries are directed to the correct location.

Ready Steady Go Nursery is recruting THREE Childcare Apprentices

READY STEADY GO Nursery is recruiting 3 Childcare Apprentices at either Level  2 or level 3 to work in three of their nurseries (St Johns Wood, Primrose Hill and Camden). Applicants must be Camden residents or former Camden Secondary School students aged 16 to 23 and must not have a university degree or an equivalent level 4 qualification. Applicants must have lived in the UK or EU country for the past 3 years.

You must have GCSE grades C or above in Maths and English to apply for these apprenticeships
.

Primrose Hill nursery and St John’s Wood: 8am – 3pm, Monday to Friday (with a half hour break) £113.40 per week (level 2) or £139.57 (level 3) with an increase after 6 months.
Hours: 32.5 hours per week

Camden nursery: 8am – 5pm, Monday to Friday (with one hour’s break) £147.32 per week (level 2) or £180.94 (level 3) with an increase after 6 months.
Hours: 40 hours per week

Contract:  12 months, with possibility of progression upon completion
Start Date: September 2015
Holidays: All roles are term time term only so you will get 14 or 16 weeks holiday per year and will be paid during the school holidays.
Training: You will study towards achieving an NVQ Level 2/3 in Childcare
Qualification Study Time: You will get 2-3 hours each week to work on your apprenticeship qualification.

Edge Cycle is recruiting a Fitness Industry Apprentice

Edge Cycle is offering a chance to a 16-24 year old Camden resident or former Camden Secondary School student to become a Fitness Industry Apprentice and complete an Intermediate NVQ in Customer Service.

•    Salary: £150 per week for first 6 months rising to £200 per week for remaining 6 months
•    Hours: Monday-Friday, 9.00am – 5.00pm       
•    Based: Holborn
•    Contract length: 12 months with the possibility to become permanent
•    Qualification: Intermediate NVQ in Customer Service (Level 2) as well as in house fitness training potentially leading to an external fitness qualification.

•    Selection Day: Monday 3rd August at 2.00pm
•    Employer Interviews: W/C 10th August (will be followed by a 1 week expenses paid trial)

In addition to formal training the successful candidate will gain exposure to all aspects of the business including, customer service, marketing, finance, strategy, site maintenance, PR and event organisation. They do everything in house so there is any number of things to get engaged with.

The Apprentice will be entitled to unlimited membership of Edge Cycle (value £50/month)!

Swiss Cottage Community Centre is recruiting an Apprentice Nursery Assistant

Swiss Cottage Community Centre is recruiting an Apprentice Nursery Assistant (intermediate level) to work in their onsite nursery. Applicants must be Camden residents or former Camden Secondary School students aged 16 to 23 and must not have a university degree or equivalent level 4 qualification. Applicants must have lived in the UK or EU country for the past 3 years.

Salary: £150 per week (paid monthly)
Holidays: 25 days per year (paid)
Hours:  Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday 8 – 3.30 pm (with a half hour break each day), 30 hours per week
Qualification Study Time: 4 hours each week

Hampstead Heath is recruiting an Apprentice Communications Assistant

Hampstead Heath is recruiting a 16-24 year old Camden resident or Camden care leaver to become an Apprentice Communications Assistant.

Contract length: 18 months

Salary: £11,440 (£220 per week)
Hours: 9.15am – 5pm with 45 minutes unpaid lunch break
Location: Heathfield House
Apprenticeship: Advanced Digital Marketing

The apprentice will contribute to the information and communication service for Hampstead Heath, Queen’s Park and Highgate. He/she will provide a range of information to the public, media and organisation in order to enhance the open space and the knowledge and enjoyment of visitors to the sites.
