Camden Apprenticeships can support you in getting an apprenticeship if you:

  • are a Camden resident or former Camden secondary school student
  • are aged 16 to 24 years old
  • do not have a degree or Level 4 qualification

Camden Council is recruiting a Corporate Finance Accountancy Apprentice

We have an exciting opportunity for you to train, earn and learn. Camden Council is offering an opportunity to a 16 to 24 year old Camden resident, Camden care leaver or former Camden secondary school student to become a Accountancy Apprentice and study towards achieving a level 3 AAT Accounting qualifications.

•    Contract length: 18 months
•    Salary :£250 per week (rising to £276 after 6 months and £295 after12 months)
•    Qualification: Advanced AAT level 3 Accounting
•    Based: Kings Cross, Mornington Crescent and Camden Council Town Hall
•    Application deadline: midnight on 26th December 2016
•    Selection Day will be held on: Wednesday 5th January 2017
•    Employer interview: w/c 9th January 2017
•    Start date: Late  January 2016

You will perform a wide range of financial and administrative tasks to support the work of the Finance and Procurement division.  You will also undertake specialist training in the IT systems (used by the department) and use the systems to enable you to assist with various financial processes.

Doublestruck are recruiting a Project Administrator Apprentice

Doublestruck Ltd are offering an exciting opportunity for a 16 to 24 year old Camden resident or former Camden Secondary School student (who is eligible to work in the UK and does not have a degree/level 4 qualification) to become a Project Administrator Apprentice. Whilst working, you will study towards achieving an Advanced NVQ in Business Administration (Level 3).

•    Duration: 18 months contract
•    Salary: £15,000
•    Hours: Monday to Friday, 9.00 am to 5.00 pm
•    Qualification: Advanced NVQ in Business Administration (Level 3)
•    Location: Kings Cross, Camden

Doublestruck Limited, part of the AQA family, is a small and friendly organisation, based in Kings Cross. We produce and produce formative and summative assessment resources such as online databases of exam materials and test papers to schools and colleges throughout the country and internationally covering Key Stage 1 through to A-level.

K-10 is recruiting a Business Administration Apprentice 18+

K-10 (Apprenticeship Training Provider - www.k-10.co.uk ) is offering exciting opportunities for Camden and Islington residents over 18 years old to become a Business Administrator.

•    Salary: £250 per week
•    Hours: 36 hours (Monday – Friday 9am -5pm)
•    Contract length: 12-18 months depending on level of qualification
•    Apprenticeship: Level 2 and level 3 Apprenticeships
•    Based: London, various locations
•    Closing date for applications: ongoing
•    Assessment : TBC
•    Possible start date: TBC

The apprentice will gain practical work experience as well as studying for a Level 2 in Business Administration.  The successful candidate will develop skills and experience necessary to carry out the duties of an Administrator.
Applicants must have at least level 1 functional skills or GCSE grace C or above in English and Maths including Entry 3 in ICT.

Camden Council is recruiting a Registration Service Apprentice

Camden Council’s registration service is offering an exciting opportunity to 16 to 24 year old Camden resident, Camden care leaver or former Camden secondary school student (who is eligible to work in the UK) to become a Registration Service Apprentice.

•    Contract length: 12 month contract with Camden Council
•    Hours: 36 hours per week
•    Salary: £187 per week increasing to £206 per week after 6 months (paid monthly)
•    Based in: Camden Town Hall, Judd Street
•    You will study towards achieving: Intermediate NVQ in Business Administration or Customer Service
•    Application deadline: Midnight on Wednesday 14th December
•    Selection day will be held on: Monday 19th December at 2.00pm
•    Employer interview will be held: Week commencing Monday 2nd January 2017
•    Start date:  Late January 2017

Camden’s registration service is responsible for administrative processes associated with registration work; indexing historical records related to birth/death/marriages and civil partnerships,  printing declarations of births & entering inquests.Perform administrative processes associated with Citizenship ceremonies such as data input, and pre and post ceremony administration for citizenship ceremonies Running a Nationality Checking Service for potential British Citizens.

Great Ormond Street Hospital for Professional Chef Apprentice

Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children NHS Foundation Trust (GOSH) is a national centre of excellence in the provision of specialist children's health care, currently delivering the widest range of specialist care of any children's hospital in the UK. It is the only specialist Biomedical Research Centre for paediatrics, the largest centre in the UK for children with heart or brain problems, and the largest centre in Europe for children with cancer. It works in partnership with the UCL Institute of Child Health (ICH), part of University College London, and together they form the largest paediatric research and teaching centre in the UK.

•    Salary: £270 per week
•    Hours: 40 hours (Monday – Friday)

Camden Council’s Housing Repairs and Improvements team is recruiting Two Asset Management Apprentices

We have an exciting opportunity for you to train, earn and learn. Camden Council’s Housing Repairs and Improvements team is offering a 12 month opportunity to Two 16 to 24 year old Camden resident or former Camden Secondary School student to become Asset Management Apprentices. You will assist with the administration of the Council’s ‘Better Homes Programme’.

•    Salary: Level 2 salary £187 per week increasing to £206 per week after 6 month or Level 3 salary £250 per week increasing to £276 per week after 6 month and £295 after 12  months
•    Based: Camden Town
•    Contract length:
12- 18 months (depending on level of  Apprenticeship)
•    Qualification you will study towards achieving:

Camden Council is investing in the ‘Better Homes Programme’, a project to improve council-owned homes and buildings through good quality repair and improvement work. Works carried out include the renewal and repair of kitchens, bathrooms, windows and roofs as well as upgrading heating systems, wiring and lifts. The Asset Management Apprentice will assist the team by monitoring and updating data related to the progress on repair and improvement work. (An ‘asset’, in this context, mainly refers to a Council-owned house or building.)
