  • Camden Council’s Parking and Lettings and Access Team is recruiting an Apprentice Parking and Lettings Officer

    Camden Council’s Parking and Lettings and Access Team is offering an exciting opportunity to a 16 to 24 year old Camden resident or Camden school leaver (who is eligible to work in the UK) to become a Parking and Lettings Officer Apprentice and gain an Advanced NVQ in Business Administration.

    •    Salary: £241 per week, rising to £268 per week after 6 months, and £296 per week after 12 months
    •    Hours: 36 hours per week (Monday – Friday)
    •    Based: 5 Pancras Square (Kings Cross)
    •    Contract length: 18 months
    •    Qualification you will study towards achieving: Advanced NVQ in Business Administration (Level 3)
    •    Application deadline: Midnight – Thursday 19 May 2016
    •    Selection Day: Thursday 26 May at 2.00pm
    •    Employer Interviews: Week commencing 30 May 2016

    Camden’s parking and lettings and access team are responsible for letting parking spaces, garages and sheds throughout the borough. The team is also responsible for the management of all communal access keys.  

    The Apprentice will be responsible for the management of parking spaces, garages and sheds including lettings, dealing with repossessions, appeals against parking charge notices and routine enquiries from clients and officers relating to all non-residential letting, parking control enforcement and access keys across the borough.

    You will gain practical experience working for Camden Council whilst pursuing a Business Administration Apprenticeship qualification at Level 3.

    The National Theatre is recruiting a Scenic Metal Fabricator (Welding) Apprentice.

    We have an exciting opportunity for you to train, earn and learn. The National Theatre is offering an opportunity for 16 to 24 year old to become a Scenic Metal Fabricator (Welding) Apprentice.
    •    Salary: £274 (per week)
    •    Hours: Up to 40hrs per week
    •    Qualification: BTEC Level 2 Certificate in Design & Level 2 NVQ Certificate in Design Support Fabrication and Welding Level 1 (Intensive) and Welding Skills Level 2 (Intensive)
    •    Contract length: 24 months.
    •    Based: South Bank, central London.
    •    Application deadline: 12noon Wednesday 18th May 2016
    •    Start date: TBC

    Working with talented practitioners, who are experts in their craft, the Metal Fabrication Apprentice will learn core welding skills with a variety of materials, alongside developing key transferable skills, such as teamwork, communication and professionalism. The apprenticeship will be based at the NT’s flagship workshops on London’s South Bank with opportunities for networking and placements in other leading organisations.

    Camden Council is recruiting an Insurance Assistant Apprentice

    We have an exciting opportunity for you to train, earn and learn. Camden Council is offering an opportunity to a 16 to 24 year old Camden resident or Camden School Leaver to become an Insurance Assistant Apprentice and study towards a Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship qualification in Providing Financial Services.

    •   Salary: £241 per week, rising to £268 per week after 6 months, and £296 per week after 12 months
    •    Hours: 36 hours per week (Monday – Friday)
    •    Based: Crowndale Centre (Mornington Crescent)
    •    Contract length: 18 months
    •    Qualification: Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship in Providing Financial Services

    The Council’s insurance team makes sure each area of our organisation is protected by assessing the risks to property, people and other Council assets and making sure we have financial protection that would help put things right when things go wrong like an accident. The team also handle all claims made against the Council and decide whether any compensation is owed.

    Troup Bywaters and Anders are recruiting a Building Services Design Engineering Apprentice

    Troup Bywaters and Anders, have an exciting opportunity to become a Building Services Design Engineering Apprentice. The successful candidate will work full time for the organisation and attend college once a week. They are looking for a candidate who ideally can grow within the organisation and are willing to support the right candidate to become a fully Chartered Engineer.

    •    Salary: £250 per week
    •    Hours: 35 hours (9.00am – 5.00pm)
    •    Contract length: Permanent
    •    Apprenticeship: Advanced Apprenticeship in Building Services Engineering (Level 3 NVQ and BTEC in Construction and the Built Environment)
    •    Based: Euston, London
    •    Application deadline: Sunday 1 May 2016
    •    Employer Interviews: May 2016
    •    Start date: Summer 2016 (September is latest start date)

    Guys and St Thomas NHS Foundation Trust are recruiting TWENTY Administration Apprentices

    Guys and St Thomas’ is one of the largest hospital trusts in the country, with around 12,500 staff; an annual turnover of more than £1 billion; and 1.6 million patient contacts a year. This Apprenticeship is working within the Specialist Children’s Services and may involve travelling to and working at various sites within London. You will be subject to an Enhanced DBS clearance. There are TWENTY positions available.

    GP surgeries across Camden and Islington are recruiting Reception Administrative Assistants Apprentice

    As Apprentice Receptionist at the GP Surgery you will be the first point of contact, ensuring that all visitors receive a warm welcome and excellent service. Also, you will assist the team in administrative functions to support the running of the Practice and contribute to patient care. The opportunity will give you an insight into business and administration role within NHS sector with long term prospects.

    •    Salary: £160 – £190 per week
    •    Hours: 40 hours per week
    •    Contract length: 12 months
    •    Apprenticeship: Intermediate NVQ (Level 2 – Business Administration)
    •    Based: Camden and other Locations

    Most apprentices who complete this course successfully are offered permanent positions with the same employer – often studying for Level Business Administration qualifications as well as Functional Skills qualification in English and Math’s (but if you have a recent GCSE in these subjects you can skip these parts of the course).

    Mears Care Limited is recruiting Health and Social Care Apprentices

    Mears Care Limited is offering exciting opportunities to 18 to 24 year olds to become Health and Social Care Apprentices. Mears provides high quality and flexible care for older and disabled people who want to avoid costly nursing homes and would like to continue living in their own homes. Mears’ friendly, expert local care teams help thousands of people to live independently in their own homes. They support people of all ages, including people with complex conditions such as dementia or a learning disability, or those just needing a little bit of extra help at. There are 60 positions available. You will be subject to an Enhanced DBS clearance.

    •    Salary: £210 per week
    •    Hours: 30 hours per week
    •    Contract length: 12 Months
    •    Apprenticeship: NVQ Level 2 and or Level 3 in Health and Social Care
