Fountains is recruiting an Apprentice Gardener

Fountains Group are recruiting a 16-24 year old Camden resident, Camden care leaver or former Camden secondary student to become an Apprentice Grounds Maintenance Operative/Gardener.

Contract length: 18 months
Salary: £260 per week
Hours: Monday to Friday 7.30am to 4.00pm
Location: Waterlow Park, Camden
Apprenticeship: Horticulture, Grounds and Garden Maintenance Level 2

Essential skills and qualities

•    Demonstrate confidence and an understanding of the environment in general
•    Possess good communication skills, to work within a team and have a good sense of humour
•    Open and able to work with volunteers, staff and members of the public from all backgrounds
•    The Candidate will need to abide by the Fountains Group Drugs & Alcohol Policy, a copy of which is available upon request.

Caversham Nursery is recruiting a Childcare Apprentice

Caversham Nursery is recruiting Childcare Apprentice (Level 2) to work in their nursery in Kentish Town. Applicants must be Camden residents, Camden care leavers or former Camden secondary school students aged 16 to 23 and must not have a university degree or equivalent level 4 qualifications.

Salary: £160 per week
Hours: Monday - Friday, working various shifts, 7.30am – 6.00pm (40 hours per week)
Duration of contract: 12 months
Apprenticeship: Childcare Level 2
Location: Kentish Town

Start date: April 2015

The opportunity
The Apprentice will work towards achieving the Children’s and Young Peoples Workforce Apprenticeship supported by Hawk Training. You will gain a thorough understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stages and develop the skills to effectively plan and develop activities for children that support their development.

Focus Care Link is a leading specialist in Domiciliary Homecare in and around London, offering a range of care packages to those who are in need of care and support in their own homes. They are seeking an enthusiastic and efficient Apprentice Business Administrator to support with the smooth delivery of their services.

Contract length: 12 months, with potential to become a permanent member of staff

We have an exciting opportunity for you to train, earn and learn. Camden Council’s Training and Development Service is offering an opportunity to a 16 to 24 year old Camden resident or former Camden Secondary School student to become an Apprentice Project Support Officer.

Details:

• Salary: £181 per week, rising to £199 per week after 6 months
• Hours: 36 hours per week, Monday to Friday
• Contract length: 12 months
• Apprenticeship: Business Administration NVQ Level 2
• Based: Crowndale Centre, Mornington Crescent

Skyfarmers is recruiting a Rooftop Gardener Apprentice

Sky Farmers is recruiting a 16-24 year old Camden resident, Camden care leaver or former Camden secondary school student to become an Apprentice Rooftop Farmer, whilst working towards achieving an NVQ 2 in Horticulture.

Details:

• Salary: £9.15 per hour (£274.50 per week)
• Hours of work
- 30 hours per week averaged across the year (longer hours in the spring and summer and reduced hours in the winter)
- includes regular weekend work
• Location: Various company rooftops in the Camden borough
• Apprenticeship: Horticulture Level 2
• Contract length: 18 months

Sky Farmers is a small Camden-based company whose aim is to bring about a more sustainable and localised food system by growing and distributing fresh, chemical free vegetables in a way that builds soil health, promotes biodiversity and engages the community. The Apprentice will assist the head grower, getting involved in the design, installation and maintenance of various food growing spaces across the Camden area with a focus on innovative rooftop gardens.

Criteria:
