Camden Apprenticeships can support you in getting an apprenticeship if you:

  • are a Camden resident or former Camden secondary school student
  • are aged 16 to 24 years old
  • do not have a degree or Level 4 qualification

Camden Council’s Apprenticeships team is recruiting an Advanced Project Support Officer Apprentice

Camden Apprenticeships team is offering the opportunity for a 16+ Camden resident or former Camden Secondary School student to become an Advanced Apprentice Project Support Officer (including those aged 25+). Whilst working with the apprenticeships team, you will also study towards and complete an Advanced NVQ in Business Administration (Level 3).

•    Contract length: 18 months
•    Salary: £250 per week, rising to £268 after 6 months, and £296 per week after 12 months
•    Hours of work: 36 hours (Monday to Friday)
•    Based: 5 Pancras Square, Kings Cross
•    Qualification: Advanced NVQ in Business Administration (Level 3)
•    Closing date: Midnight – Monday 30th January 2017
•    Selection Day: Tuesday 7th February 2017 at 2.00pm

Camden Apprenticeships team offers support to employers to set up apprenticeship schemes and recruit the best Camden young people for their business. The team work with Camden young people aged 16-24 to ensure they have access to apprenticeship vacancies. The Advanced Apprentice Project Support Officer will learn how apprenticeships are delivered, how to support the recruitment process and how to provide advice about this to young people in Camden.

Camden Council is recruiting an Apprentice Education Support Officer

Camden Council is offering an exciting opportunity for 16 to 24 year old Camden residents or Camden School leaver to become an Apprentice Education Support Officer (Virtual School for Looked After Children)

•    Salary: £250 per week increasing to £276 per week after 6 month and £295 after 12 months
•    Based: The Crowndale centre, Mornington Crescent 
•    Contract length: 18 months
•    Qualification: Business Administration Advanced (Level  3)
•    Hours:  36 hours per week (Monday – Friday)

You will gain practical work experience as well as studying for a Level 3 Apprenticeship in Business Administration. You will be required to support the Virtual School staff to provide a comprehensive high quality, professional and customer focused support service within the Children Schools and Families Directorate. This will involve regular liaison with schools, social workers, foster carers, looked after children and young people, and partner agencies.

You will also learn about the functions of a Virtual School and how to coordinate and support the education of looked after children who attend schools/centres in Camden and in other local authorities, and to coordinate education, training and employment support for Camden care leavers.

•    Hours: 36 hours per week
•    Salary: £187 per week increasing to £206 per week after 6 months (paid monthly)

Mount Anvil are recruiting a Site Team Administrator Apprentice

Mount Anvil (http://www.mountanvil.com/) are recruiting a 16-24 year old Camden resident, Camden care leaver or former Camden Secondary School student to become a Site Team Administrator Apprentice and study towards an intermediate NVQ in Business Administration.

Camden Council’s Housing Repairs and Improvements team is recruiting an Asset Management Apprentice

We have an exciting opportunity for you to train, earn and learn. Camden Council’s Housing Repairs and Improvements team is offering a 12-18 months opportunity for a 16 to 24 year old Camden resident or former Camden Secondary School student to become an Asset Management Apprentice. You will assist with the administration of the Council’s ‘Better Homes Programme’

•    Salary: Level 2 salary- £187 per week increasing to £206 per week after 6 month OR Level 3 salary – £250 per week increasing to £276 per week after 6 month and £295 after 12 months
•    Based: Camden Town
•    Contract length: 12- 18 months (depending on level of Apprenticeship)
•    Qualification you will study towards achieving: Business Administration – Intermediate or Advanced (Level 2 or 3)
•    Hours: 36 hours per week (Monday – Friday)

Camden Council is investing in the ‘Better Homes Programme’, a project to improve council-owned homes and buildings through good quality repair and improvement work. Works carried out include the renewal and repair of kitchens, bathrooms, windows and roofs as well as upgrading heating systems, wiring and lifts. The Asset Management Apprentice will assist the team by monitoring and updating data related to the progress on repair and improvement work. (An ‘asset’, in this context, mainly refers to a Council-owned house or building.)

K-10 is recruiting a Business Administration Apprentice 18+

K-10 (Apprenticeship Training Provider - www.k-10.co.uk ) is offering exciting opportunities for Camden and Islington residents over 18 years old to become a Business Administrator.

•    Salary: £250 per week
•    Hours: 36 hours (Monday – Friday 9am -5pm)
•    Contract length: 12-18 months depending on level of qualification
•    Apprenticeship: Level 2 and level 3 Apprenticeships
•    Based: London, various locations
