Who is it for and how much is it?
Careline's service is for anyone in the borough who wants to live independently, but with the knowledge that help is there at the push of a button.
Careline customers include:
- older people and people with physical disabilities
- people with mental health problems
- people experiencing or at risk of domestic violence or racial harassment
- people with learning difficulties.
Cost and levels of service
Gold full emergency call out (£4.60 per week)
You supply Careline with a set of your keys*. In an emergency, Careline staff are able to come to your home and assist you immediately.
*All keys are held securely stored at the Careline Control Centre and can only be identified by Careline staff.
Silver monitoring service (£3.60 per week)
You provide Careline with the names and telephone numbers of three relatives, friends or neighbours who are willing to help you at any time of the day or night and who hold a set of your keys. If your alarm is activated we will alert them to your needs.
Housing benefit
If you are a tenant and also receive housing benefit you do not have to pay the charge - your service will be funded by Supporting People in Camden.
